Matthew Patterson is the current principal of Mountainview Jr. High. For the previous 5 years, he has been the principal of Orion Jr. High, prior to that he was a Curriculum Specialist and STEM Coordinator for Weber School District. Matt has been working for Weber School District for 20 years. He has been a 7-9th grade science teacher, online course developer and instructor, technology instructor and mentor, building administrator, and curriculum specialist. Matt has been the Weber Area STEM Fair director, Utah State Science Leadership Team, Weber State University’s Center for Science and Math Education Advisory Board, Utah’s Governor’s Office Of Economic Development: STEM Action Center Advisory Board, and North Utah Curriculum Consortium member. Each day he seeks after and creates educational programs and opportunities for students to reach their highest potential, find educational success, and prepare' them to be creative, innovative, knowledgeable workforce to lead us into the future. He loves making connections with students and seeing them blossom.
